Busy to Zoho Books, with stock and accounts both carried across
Busy holds your trading business in two halves, accounts and inventory. We move both into Zoho Books, item by item and party by party, and check the stock value as closely as the trial balance.

Busy's masters and vouchers, and where each one goes
Busy and Zoho Books organise a trading business differently. This is the mapping we follow.
Where Busy users usually feel the difference
Three things come up in almost every Busy migration, so we plan for them at the start.
Bill sundries become proper lines
Freight, packing and discounts stop being add-ons at the foot of the bill. Each one posts to its own account and shows up in reports.
Alternate units are set up once
Boxes and pieces, kilos and bags. Conversion is defined on the item, so purchase in one unit and sell in another.
Schemes and price lists
Party-wise rates and quantity discounts are rebuilt as Zoho Books price lists, so the counter staff do not key rates by hand.
Salesmen and brokers
Salesman-wise reporting continues through the salesperson field and reporting tags.
GST reports from live data
GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B figures are prepared in Zoho Books, with e-invoice and e-way bill from the invoice.
No more data on one PC
The books move off the office computer and the pen drive backup, onto a login for each person.
How a Busy migration runs
Five steps. You keep billing in Busy until the last one.
Send us a Busy backup
We check accounts, parties, items, material centres and voucher counts, then send a fixed quote with dates.
Tidy items and parties
Duplicate items, missing HSN codes, units that do not convert and parties without a GSTIN are listed and fixed.
Set up Zoho Books
Organisation, GST, locations, units, price lists, invoice formats and users.
Move and reconcile
Masters, opening balances, stock and vouchers. Trial balance and stock statement are compared with Busy.
Train the counter and the accounts desk
Billing staff and accountants are trained separately, on your own items and parties.
Questions Busy users ask
Which Busy editions can you migrate from?
Basic, Standard and Enterprise, on Busy 17, 18 and 21. If you are on an older release, send us the backup and we will check it.
Can I keep batch-wise and serial-wise stock?
Yes, Zoho supports batch and serial tracking. It depends on the plan, so we confirm the right plan before you buy.
We bill at a busy counter. Will Zoho Books be fast enough?
For most trading counters, yes. If you bill at very high volume we show you the billing screen on your own items first, and suggest Zoho's POS or Zoho Inventory where that fits better.
What happens to my Busy data?
Nothing changes in Busy. We work from a copy, and you can keep Busy for looking up earlier years.
Moving from a different system?
The same team handles each of these. Every one ends with balances reconciled against the system you are leaving.
