Salesforce to Zoho Books, so a won deal becomes an invoice
Salesforce runs your sales. Billing and accounts usually sit somewhere else, joined by exports and retyping. We move your accounts, products, price books, quotes and billing records into Zoho Books and connect the two ends.
A service by Biz Systems, a Zoho partner in Kolkata.
Two ways to do this
Zoho Books is accounting software and Salesforce is a CRM, so the first decision is what happens to the CRM.
Keep Salesforce, add Zoho Books
Your sales team stays where it is. Billing and accounts move to Zoho Books.
- Accounts and contacts synced to Zoho Books customers
- Closed-won opportunities create sales orders or invoices
- Payment status visible on the Salesforce account
- No retraining for the sales team
Move the CRM to Zoho as well
Sales moves to Zoho CRM, which connects to Zoho Books without custom work.
- Leads, accounts, contacts and opportunities migrated
- Stages, fields, layouts and automation rebuilt
- Invoices and payments shown inside each CRM record
- One vendor and one bill for sales and finance
What moves from Salesforce into Zoho Books
Salesforce holds the commercial side of each customer. This is the part of it that billing and accounts need.
Your ledgers come from your accounting system
Salesforce does not hold your general ledger. Opening balances and past accounting entries come from the software your accounts team uses today, and we migrate those alongside.
History stays with the customer
Past invoices are attached to the right customer, so anyone opening the record sees what was billed and what was paid.
How this project runs
Five steps. The first two are about decisions, the last three about data.
Map your quote-to-cash flow
We sit with sales and finance and trace one deal from quote to money in the bank, noting each handover and each re-entry.
Choose the route
Keep Salesforce and connect it, or move the CRM to Zoho as well. We give you the cost and effort of both.
Set up Zoho Books
Taxes, items, price lists, templates, approval rules and users.
Migrate and connect
Customers, items, open quotes, orders, invoices and subscriptions. Then the connection between CRM and Books is built and tested.
Run both ends together
Sales closes real deals, finance bills them from Zoho Books, and we fix what the first weeks show up.
Questions about moving off Salesforce
Salesforce is not accounting software. What exactly is migrated?
The customer and billing side: accounts, contacts, products, price books, quotes, orders, subscriptions and any invoices held in Salesforce. Your ledgers and opening balances come from your current accounting system, and we move those too.
Can we keep Salesforce and still use Zoho Books?
Yes. We build a connection so that customers stay in step and a closed-won deal creates a sales order or invoice in Zoho Books.
We use Salesforce CPQ or Billing. Can that be replaced?
Often. Zoho Books covers price lists, estimates, recurring invoices and payment collection. Complex configuration rules or usage billing need a closer look, and Zoho Billing may suit better. We check this in the first step.
How long are sales and finance disrupted?
Sales is not disrupted on the first route. Finance switches at a month end. On the second route the sales team is trained on Zoho CRM before the switch.
Moving from a different system?
The same team handles each of these. Every one ends with balances reconciled against the system you are leaving.
