Opening balances
For a clean start from a cut-off date, with earlier years left in Tally.
- Chart of accounts, customers, vendors and items
- Opening balance for every ledger
- Unpaid invoices and bills, bill by bill
- Opening stock quantity and value
We move your ledgers, parties, stock items and vouchers out of Tally ERP 9 or TallyPrime and into Zoho Books. Then we put the two trial balances side by side and show you they agree.
A service by Biz Systems, a Zoho partner in Kolkata. We also set up, clean up and support Zoho Books for businesses already on it.

The two products name things differently. This is how your Tally company is carried across, so nothing is left behind and your team knows where to find it afterwards.
We work from a copy of your backup. Nothing is changed or deleted in Tally, and you can keep it as a read-only record of earlier years.
Trial balance, party outstanding and stock value are compared between the two systems. You get the statement, and go-live waits for your sign-off.
Tally does accounting well. The move is about where the work happens and how much of it you still do by hand.
Zoho Books runs in a browser and on a phone. The owner, the accounts team and the CA see the same numbers without passing a backup around.
Bank feeds and statement imports bring transactions in. Your team matches them rather than typing each one.
E-invoices and e-way bills are generated from the invoice, and GST returns are prepared from the same data.
Invoices go out by email or WhatsApp with a payment link, and reminders for overdue ones are sent automatically.
Bills, purchase orders and expenses can wait for a manager's approval, with a record of who approved what.
Zoho Books links with Zoho CRM, Inventory, Payroll and your online store, so sales and stock reach the accounts without re-entry.
Some of these features depend on the Zoho Books plan you choose. We tell you which plan fits before you buy.
Six steps, in this order. Your team keeps working in Tally until the last one.
You share a backup. We check ledgers, parties, stock items, voucher volumes and GST setup, and send a fixed quote with dates.
Duplicate ledgers, parties without a GSTIN, wrong units and old suspense balances are listed for you and fixed before anything moves.
Organisation, GST details, chart of accounts, taxes, invoice templates, numbering, users and roles are configured for your business.
Masters first, then opening balances, then transactions for the period you have chosen.
Trial balance, debtors, creditors, bank and stock are compared with Tally. Any difference is traced and corrected until it is zero.
Your accounts team is trained on their own data. We stay with you through the first month-end and the first GST return.
Each one ends with the same reconciliation. The quote is fixed once we have reviewed your Tally backup.

For a mid-year switch, so the whole year's books and GST data sit in one place.
For businesses that want earlier years searchable and reportable in Zoho Books.
Not on Tally, or already on Zoho Books? We move books from five other systems and take on the Zoho Books work that follows.
Send a few details on WhatsApp and we will call you back to understand your books, in English, Hindi or Bengali.
The team behind Tally to Zoho. Three of the businesses we have worked with, and what changed for them.
Inventory records reconciled, Books and Inventory syncing again, and agent commissions calculated on every invoice.

Zoho CRM, Zoho AnalyticsYes. We compare the trial balance, customer and vendor outstanding, bank balances and stock value between Tally and Zoho Books as on the cut-off date. Any difference is traced to its voucher and corrected. You receive the reconciliation statement and go-live waits for your sign-off.
Tally ERP 9 and TallyPrime, including companies with inventory, multiple godowns, cost centres and more than one GSTIN. We also move books from Busy and from Excel.
It depends on the option you choose, the number of vouchers and how clean the masters are. Opening balances are the quickest and full history takes the longest. You get dates along with the quote, after we have reviewed your backup.
The start of a financial year is the simplest, because the opening balances are your audited closing figures. A mid-year switch works too. We pick a cut-off at a month end, after that month's GST returns are filed, and carry the year's transactions across.
It stays where it is. We work from a copy and change nothing in your Tally company. Most businesses keep Tally as a read-only record of earlier years.
Yes. Your CA gets their own login to your Zoho Books organisation and can review entries, pass journals and pull reports directly. We include them in the training if you would like.
We quote a fixed price after reviewing your Tally backup, because the effort depends on years of data and voucher volume. The Zoho Books subscription is separate and is paid to Zoho.
Zoho Books for Indian organisations stores data in Zoho's data centres in India. During the migration your Tally backup is used only for the migration and is deleted from our systems once you confirm go-live.
Biz Systems, a Zoho partner based in Kolkata. The same team reviews your Tally data, sets up Zoho Books, migrates, reconciles and supports you after go-live.
